Rats and Roaches......Who wins?

Bug Busterzzz just recently went to a mobile home for a rat and roach call. Inside was one of the strangest things we have ever seen. Rat holes everywhere and roach feces peppering the entire inside. The thing that really confused us was the fact that not one roach was flushed out and not one body was found. NOT EVEN BODY PARTS!!!! We come to the conclusion that the rats had eaten all the roaches in need of food. Rat droppings and sounds of movement under our feet gave it away.
There was not any food left in the empty home and they were desperate. A water source was found out back which is the most important thing for them to survive when in tough conditions. Rats need water directly. We can thank the rats for getting rid of the roaches for us I guess. Placing out snap traps isn’t a very nice “thank you”. Just another day for Bug Busterzzz Pest Control in Maine!
Scare tactics from the "Big Companies"

As the bed bug problem rises in the USA and around the world so does the need to educate the public. We have noticed that the education has turned into “scare tactics” which makes the issue worse for Pest Management Professionals to take care of their needs. I recently ran into a inspection for bed bugs that lasted almost 3 hours instead of 30 minutes. Why is that you might ask? They were trained by the previous company and thought they knew everything about them including how to do the treatments. That itself was slowing me down with 50 questions about why I was doing things different. Are you going to treat the electrical outlets? The light fixtures? Base boards? How ? Where? Why? I give them an explanation and they turn around and tell me how I should do it. Apparently the previous company did not get rid of them so their course of action doesn’t matter. They were running around like the world was going to end.
The point is don’t listen to people selling fear. You sell fear and you will service fear. This companies prices were outrageous and the were able to sell it by giving the training courses and scaring the heck out of the people. Scare Tactics! The media also loves to make not so good news into the worst news of the year.
The situation is serious but can be handled in a calm and reassuring manner. Call Bug Busterzzz if you live in Maine to experience the difference. We wont bust your budget either! (just the bugs)
